A seminar titled “Sustainable Development Goals on the occasion of 70th Anniversary of UN” had been convened at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), on Monday 15th instant.

Arranged at the seminar room of the Civil Engineering Building, the seminar was chaired by CUET Vice Chancellor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Pro Vice Chancellor Rofiqul Alam, Registrar Prof. Dr. Faruk Chowdhury and Honorary Console of People’s Republic of Japan in Chittagong Muhammad Nurul Islam.

UN Information Centre Dhaka in charge M. Muniruzzaman, presented the keynote speech in the seminar.

CUET VC in his speech, stated, “Universities of our country are faltering in the world ranking. For prosperity, it is vital to confirm sustainable development by taking stern steps in the fields starting from infrastructural development to quality enhancement of research and education.”

Speaker also highlighted on viable development incorporating people of all classes and advancement of education system aiming at the greater cause of the nation.
